Tanya and Noah!

We'd like you to meet the youngest member of the Sioux Falls Laughter Club - Noah!! Isn't he a cutie? That's his mom, Tanya, with him. Tanya started coming to laughter club before she was pregnant with Noah, and right from the start she immediately felt a connection with all of us. Laughter comes so natural to her, and it’s pure joy looking into her eyes and laughing uproariously!

Tanya is a member of our church and is the same age as our son Spencer, 20 years old. Our laughter club started in our church so it was a comforting place for many to try this new-fangled club they knew nothing about. When Tanya discovered she was pregnant, laughter club was a safe harbor and a place to find release in a very stressful situation. She came faithfully throughout her pregnancy, and she laughed with us up to three days before Noah was born! She found out she had high blood pressure near the end of her pregnancy, so we'd put her in a chair and laugh around her. She's always found comfort, joy and support laughing with her laughter friends.

At Laughter Club last night a “Red Hat” group showed up and, boy, did we have fun! The Red Hat Society already embraces the concepts of laughter, joy and celebration so they fit right in! Hahaha! We loved their fancy red hats, their purple outfits, their laughter and their Queen Marlene. And in honor of these awesome ladies Dan wore his “Levity Project” umbrella hat and red nose. He ‘blended’ right in!

We also had a couple younger women come and experience laughter club for the first time. They read about it in a local magazine, Sioux Falls Woman (see article below!), and wanted to see what it was all about. The ability of laughter to transcend generations still amazes me and it’s one of the many reasons that Dan and I love Laughter Yoga! These gals had a great time and plan on coming back and bringing more of their friends.
