Barb, Jason, and Milkshake Laughter!

Our close friend, Jason Freeman, was back in South Dakota at Christmas and we loved having him back at laughter club! When Jason lived in Sioux Falls he worked for many years at one of the residential homes at South Dakota Achieve, a local business that provides comprehensive services to adults with disabilities, ranging from employment services to residential services.
After Jason experienced firsthand the transformational effects of laughter yoga, he began to integrate laughter yoga into the clients lives at the group home where he worked. Management realized what a great outing and benefit laughter club was for the clients, and before he moved to San Diego there were 3 or 4 clients along with 1 or 2 staff coming regularly to our laughter club.
Since this group has started to come it's been a pleasure to watch the clients open up to the joyful energy of laughing for no reason, to see them revealing their beautiful personalities to us, and to see the others who come to laughter club open up their own hearts to this diverse group of people.

When Jason left Sioux Falls less than a year ago Barb was sitting on the floor off to the side not making any eye contact or really participating. But she was there and everyone always included her and the others from the group home. Now Barb's razor wit and loving heart are shining bright each Tuesday night at laughter club! And in the photos above you can see Jason and Barb laughing together as Barb led milkshake laughter - Jason was overjoyed!
Dan and I had no idea the direction our Laughter Club would take, and never expected it be so diverse! We are continually humbled by the Grace of God and the simple ways he works miracles in our lives. Laughter is a gift to everyone, and, it truly is the best medicine!!
Very good, very good, yay!!
